The management of the Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma, has commended Governor, Monday Okpebholo, which has helped to reposition the institution as against what was obtainable in the past.
The university’s management spoke through its Principal Assistant Registrar/Head, Information and Public Relations, Mike Aladenika, during an interactive session with journalists in Benin City.
Aladenika said the institution is rising again due to the favourable policies of the state government, and coupled with the efficient management of the Chief Dan Orbih- led governing council.
He pointed out that for the eight years of the past administration in the state, no new structure was constructed at the university, either by the state government or the university’s management.

Aladenika revealed that several principal officers positions in the university have been declared vacant, and urged those with the prerequisite qualifications to apply for the various positions as advertised by the governing council.
He added that with the governing council on board, the school environment is peaceful as students and lecturers are all carrying out their activities in a friendly environment.
According to him, workers of the university are still receiving N18,000 as minimum wage when their colleagues in the same state civil service are on receiving N70,000 as minimum wage .
Aladenika then called on the state government to continue its intervention trajectory in the development of the university.
