The Odiologbo of Oleh Kingdom HRM Anthony William Ovrawah Omogha 1 on Wednesday, gave royal blessings to Dr Goodnews Goodman Agbi the Delta State governorship candidate of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), in the forthcoming general elections, describing him as an honest man with capacity to govern Delta State.
The royal blessings and prayers were offered by the monarch at his palace in Oleh, Isoko South Local Government Area of Delta State, during a consultative visit.
He noted that nothing God Almighty cannot do and added that Dr Agbi will be victorious during the poll because he believes God has chosen him to govern the state.
He opined that Dr Agbi is contesting to fight for the good and rights of all Deltans, especially of the Isoko ethnic nationality.
According to him, “Some time ago I was in gathering Late Prof. Abednego Ekoko, Late Archbishop Apena, Chief Iduh Amadhe and the Isoko political class were there. I asked them, when will an Isoko man become the governor of Delta State? None was able to respond to my question. I believe the time has come. My question is being answered now.

I salute your courage for chesting out to contest boldly with other guber candidates from other ethnic groups.
Earlier, the governorship candidate of the New Nigeria People’s Party Dr Agbi stated that It is true that when you look at the politics of Delta State since 1999, the governorship has always been contested by all ethnic groups and Isoko has not been very visible.
“I have decided to contest the governorship to change the narratives and to better the lives of all Deltans, the Isokos inclusive, with other guber candidates. We don’t know who will eventually emerge as Governor of Delta State.
“I am here to inform you about my ambition that I am contesting for the governorship position in Delta State.
“I am fully battle-ready, they all know my antecedent in the state, even before I got the governorship ticket of my party it was a tug of war before I was able to clinch the ticket. I will fight this fight to win the governorship race”.
He thanked the Odiologbo of Oleh Kingdom for welcoming him and his entourage to the palace despite the short notice given for the visit.
