The Adamawa State Agribusiness Support Programme (ADAS-P) has initiated collaboration with the Agro-Climatic Resilience in Semi-Arid Landscapes (ACReSAL) Project to promote climate-smart agriculture in Adamawa State.
During a recent engagement meeting between the management teams of ADAS-P and ACReSAL, James Birdling, speaking on behalf of the Chief Operating Officer of ADAS-P, highlighted the significance of the partnership in achieving the objectives of the ADAS programme in advancing climate-smart agricultural practices.
Dr. Tasiu Idi, Head of the Component One Department, emphasized the importance of a detailed presentation to identify common goals and facilitate effective collaboration between the two entities.
In response, Dr. Chinda Dami Ibrahim, the project Coordinator of ACReSAL, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership and emphasized ACReSAL’s commitment to promoting climate-smart agriculture.

He outlined ACReSAL’s substantial investments in technology and infrastructure, including demonstration fields spread across the state’s 21 local government areas and plans to establish industries in each of the three senatorial zones.
Dr. Chinda further revealed that ACReSAL boasts over seventy thousand hectares of irrigation infrastructure across Adamawa State, underscoring the project’s dedication to sustainable agricultural development in the region.
