Nigeria’s leading indigenous engineering firm, Adano Engineering Company Limited, has completed and inaugurated two multimillion dollars condensate buffer tanks at the landmark Anoh Gas Processing Plant in Imo State.

The successful, timely delivery of the project with over 242,000 man-hours completed without incident, shows the growing competence of Nigerian engineers and contractors in executing complex EPC projects.

Speaking during the commissioning of the project, executed for the Anoh Gas Processing Plant, Assa, Ohaji/Egbema Local Government Area of Imo State, on Wednesday, Adano Engineering’s Managing Director, Engr. Benson Adano, expressed delight that Nigeria’s indigenous engineering firms are emerging as key players in driving the nation’s industrial progress, particularly within the oil and gas sector.

He maintained that local companies are now demonstrating remarkable innovation and efficiency, rivaling international firms.

Adano described the project as a milestone that reflects the speed, excellence, innovation and strength of indigenous execution, adding that it particularly afforded the company the opportunity to prove its capability in Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contract execution.

“The project was executed to the highest standards of quality and safety. A total of 242,350 man hours with zero lost time to incidents was recorded in the course of project execution; a reflection of Adano Engineering’s professionalism and commitment to safety”, he enthused.

Commending the host community for its cooperation and support, Adano assured that the company will never compromise on standard.

The Managing Director of Anoh Gas Processing Plant, Effiong Okon, in his remarks, commended Adano Engineering Company for delivering a top-notch job on agreed time.

Okon noted that some other companies who had been contracted in the past for a project in Anoh Gas Processing Plant didn’t live up to expectations, describing Adano as a proof of the capability of indigenous companies in oil and gas.

He highlighted that no casualty was recorded during the project, attributing such feats as a distinction for Adano.

Industry stakeholders at the event see this as a testament to Nigeria’s potential to foster self-reliance, create employment, and boost economic resilience through local expertise.

The achievement also signals a shift towards leveraging indigenous capabilities to meet Nigeria’s energy demands, reduce dependency on foreign contractors, and promote sustainable national growth.

Anoh Gas Processing Plant is reputed for being the largest gas processing plant in Nigeria.
