The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, Nyesom Wike, has announced that the Abuja Industrial Park, currently under development by the Zeberced Group, is set to create 40,000 jobs and significantly boost Nigeria’s economy. Wike made this revelation during his visit to the site located at the Idu Industrial Zone in Abuja on Wednesday.
Expressing his excitement about the project, Wike described the industrial park as a “wonderland,” highlighting its potential to transform the economy and create substantial employment opportunities for the youth in the FCT.
“This is the first time I’m seeing something like this in the entire country,” Wike remarked, praising the scale and ambition of the project. He promised to personally brief President Bola Tinubu on the progress and potential of the park, which has already been approved to operate as a Free Zone.
The Abuja Industrial Park is expected to attract a wide range of businesses, thanks to its stable power supply and modern infrastructure. The park, which spans 250 hectares of land, currently features 208 workshops and is designed to support small and medium-scale industries. Production of various items, including precast concrete, plastic and polypropylene pipes, and sandwich insulation roofing sheets, is already underway.

Wike commended the Zeberced Group for their commitment to maintaining high standards and for their efforts in branding all products made at the park as “Made in Nigeria.” He emphasized the importance of local production, stating, “Once production is of good quality, people will buy, and even outsiders will also buy.”
The minister also noted that the ongoing expansion of the access road to the park, supported by the FCT Administration, will further accelerate the development of the Idu District. “This is exactly what we need to grow our economy. The development of Idu will be unimaginable, and we must give this project the necessary support,” he added.
Wike assured that the government will provide adequate security and called for more investments in local manufacturing. He concluded by praising the Zeberced Group for their dedication to the project, which he believes will be a game-changer for Nigeria’s industrial sector.
Zeberced Group’s Managing Director, Mr. Adil Kurt, echoed Wike’s sentiments, emphasizing that the park will play a pivotal role in Nigeria’s economic growth. “The Abuja Industrial Park is not just about job creation; it’s about contributing to the nation’s overall development,” Kurt said.
