Villarreal midfielder Thomas Partey, who appeared in a London court on Wednesday, has pleaded not guilty to charges of rape and sexual assault involving three women.

The 32-year-old Ghanaian international was present at Southwark Crown Court on Wednesday, where he only confirmed his name and date of birth before entering his not guilty plea.

He faces five counts of rape related to two women and one count of sexual assault against a third woman, with the alleged incidents occurring between April 2021 and June 2022.

These alleged offenses took place during his time with Premier League club Arsenal.

Partey transferred to Villarreal this summer after leaving Arsenal.

He has been released on bail ahead of his trial, which is scheduled for November 2, 2026, and is expected to last between six and eight weeks.

Partey joined Arsenal from Atletico Madrid for 50 million euros ($59 million) in 2020 and became an important player for the team before his contract ended in June.

He recently played for Villarreal in a Champions League match against Arsenal’s rivals, Tottenham Hotspur, where he was booed by Spurs fans every time he touched the ball.

The Ghanaian international, who departed Arsenal this summer, is facing charges of sexual assault involving three women.
