Eyewitnesses described a moment of chaos as alarms rang out and flames spread quickly through the high-rise. Many occupants rushed to escape, with some trapped inside until emergency responders arrived. The video of the man jumping sparked alarm across social media, where Nigerians expressed both shock and concern for those affected.

The identity of the jumper has not yet been confirmed, and details about his condition remain unclear at the time of this report. Rescue teams, however, were seen battling the blaze and evacuating staff and customers from the building, preventing what could have been a far greater tragedy.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the inferno and are expected to issue an official statement in the coming hours. Meanwhile, the incident has once again raised questions about fire safety measures in Nigeria’s commercial hubs, where crowded offices and limited emergency exits often leave occupants at high risk during disasters.
