Troops of ‘Operation Hadin Kai’ have killed 11 Islamic State of West Africa Province (ISWAP) terrorists, including three top commanders in two separate operations in Borno and Adamawa States.

Military sources confirmed that the operations took place on September 15, 2025, with troops dealing a major blow to the terror group.

According to the report, in Kukawa Local Government Area of Borno State, troops of Sector 3 were ambushed while on patrol along the Baga–Cross Kauwa main supply route.

The soldiers swiftly responded with superior firepower, killing eight terrorists, among them three high-ranking commanders identified as Modu Dogo Munzir, another unnamed Munzir, and Abu Aisha Qaid.

Several other terrorists sustained gunshot wounds and fled, abandoning 14 motorcycles, weapons, two gun-trucks, blankets, drugs, and other logistics.

In a separate offensive, troops of Sector 1, working in collaboration with the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF) and local hunters, carried out a clearance operation in Umbo, Adamawa State.

The joint forces killed three terrorists and recovered weapons, ammunition, and a mobile phone.

The military confirmed that no casualties were recorded among the troops in both operations.

Commending the soldiers, the Military High Command urged residents in the North-East to continue providing credible intelligence to aid ongoing counter-terrorism efforts.

The successful operations further highlight the sustained pressure on ISWAP fighters across the region, with security forces intensifying efforts to dismantle terrorist cells and restore peace to Borno, Adamawa, and Yobe States.
