The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced fresh job vacancies for Nigerians as part of preparations for the Anambra 2025 governorship election. The commission is inviting eligible applicants to serve as ad-hoc staff, with the online registration window now open from Monday, September 15, to Sunday, October 5, 2025.
The available positions include Supervisory Presiding Officers (SPOs), Presiding Officers (POs), Assistant Presiding Officers (APOs), Registration Area Centre (RAC) Managers, and Registration Area Technicians (RATECHs). INEC confirmed that applications must be submitted only through its official portal at pres.inecnigeria.org or via the mobile-friendly link presmobile.inecnigeria.org.
To qualify, applicants must be residents of Anambra, Delta, Enugu, or Imo states and meet strict eligibility rules. SPOs must be civil servants between Grade Levels 10 and 14, while POs and APOs can be serving corps members, recent graduates within four years of NYSC completion, penultimate-year students of federal institutions, or INEC staff. RAC Managers are expected to be heads of institutions hosting RACs or senior civil servants not below Grade Level 07, while RATECH positions are reserved for INEC ICT staff.
INEC has also stressed that neutrality is non-negotiable. Applicants must not belong to political parties or openly support any candidate. The commission added that only residents of the state in which they apply will be considered, except RATECHs, who may be deployed as needed.
