Kylian Mbappe has been cautioned to remain in Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) if he is desirous to win the FIFA Ballon d’Or.
The French international who has been a subject of a transfer to Spanish football giant Real Madrid may unlikely replicate the same potentials at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Mbappe has been very instrumental to PSG’s success this season, scoring 21 times, providing 14 assists, and also scoring in both legs of the Champions League round of 16 clash against Real Madrid before their exit from the European clubs’ elite competition.
According to France Football Association President, Noel Le Grait, the 23 years old should not leave PSG for Real Madrid if he wishes to get his hands on the highly coveted FIFA Ballon d’Or.
Undeniably, Le Grait, who could not conceal his intentions, wants the player to remain in the French Ligue 1 to ply his trade The Trumpet gathered.
The President in his statement to Ouest France said: “I want Kylian to stay in Paris”. He opined that Mbappe who is one of the best players in the world is of great benefit to the French league.
“For French football, it’s better to have one of the best players in the world, if not the best, in this league,” he said. While Noel Le Grait recognised that PSG is not at its best, the chances of Mbappe succeeding in the Spanish league is under probability owing to the change in environment and other factors. He continued: “He has more chances of winning the Ballon d’Or at PSG than if he leaves.”

“When you change clubs, you always have to get used to a new environment. “PSG are going through a poor patch, but they are still a great club,” he added.
Mbappe had been on the radar of Real Madrid for quite a while with the Spanish club tendering two subsequent bids, £137million and £145.5million, last summer.
However, the player whose contract with the Parc de Princes expires this summer will be on a free transfer.
