Crystal Palace has reached a preliminary agreement with Villareal for Spanish winger Yeremy Pino, valued at up to £26 million.
The 22-year-old is reportedly interested in transferring to Selhurst Park and is anticipated to undergo a medical examination in the next few days.
Although Pino has a release clause of £69 million, Villarreal has opted to accept Palace’s offer due to less than two years remaining on his contract.
Palace’s pursuit of Pino follows the recent £60 million transfer of England forward Eberechi Eze to Arsenal.
Eze, 27, was a key player for Palace last season, netting 14 goals and providing 11 assists in 43 appearances, contributing to the club’s historic FA Cup victory.
After Palace’s 1-1 draw against Nottingham Forest over the weekend, manager Oliver Glasner expressed strong confidence that the club would secure new signings before the transfer deadline on Monday, especially after a relatively quiet window so far.
This summer, the club has made only two acquisitions: goalkeeper Walter Benitez, who joined from PSV Eindhoven on a free transfer, and defender Borna Sosa, who was signed from Ajax for £3 million.

Additionally, Palace is pursuing Manchester City’s 30-year-old Swiss defender Manuel Akanji, whom they value at £15 million.
Pino began his career in the youth system at Las Palmas before moving to Villarreal in 2017.
He made his full debut in 2020 and scored four goals in 34 league appearances last season, helping Villarreal secure a fifth-place finish and qualify for the Champions League.
Since his debut for Spain in 2021, Pino has scored three goals in 15 international matches.
