The Ogun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has suspended Senator Gbenga Daniel and Kunle Folarin for what they describe as actions against the party’s interests.
In a statement from the party’s Director of Publicity, Nuberu Olufemi, it was revealed that a meeting was held in Abeokuta led by the state party Chairman, Yemi Sanusi, with 16 members present.
During this meeting, the committee discussed findings related to complaints against Sen. Daniel and Folarin, which were investigated by local disciplinary committees from their respective wards in Sagamu Local Government.
The disciplinary committee for Ward IV investigated Sen. Daniel for actions seen as harmful to the party, while the committee for Ward VI looked into serious complaints against Folarin.
Both members were invited to attend disciplinary meetings to present their side and defend themselves, but they did not show up or respond to any communications from the committees.

Because both Sen. Daniel and Folarin chose not to engage in the process, the committees proceeded with their discussions, listened to witnesses, and reviewed relevant documents.
They decided to suspend both members indefinitely as further investigations continue.
The party has communicated this decision officially, showing its dedication to maintaining discipline and adhering to its rules.
The suspensions have now been approved by the State Working Committee.
