The Isoko National Youth Assembly (INYA) Worldwide has announced a public discourse that promises to ignite critical conversations on the future of Isoko Nation and Delta State. The event, scheduled for Thursday, August 14, 2025, at the Isoko Youth House in Ozoro, Isoko North Local Government Area, will bring together youth leaders, stakeholders, and members of the public to assess key governance and development issues.

This was contained in a press release by INYA leadership. According to INYA the meeting will focus on evaluating the impact of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s two years in office on Isoko Nation, alongside an appraisal of Delta State Governor Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori’s contributions during the same period. The session will also provide an in-depth review of the Petroleum Industry Act (PIA) and examine its progress since implementation, with a particular emphasis on how it affects oil-producing communities like Isoko.

Electricity shortage, one of the most pressing challenges facing the region, will also take center stage as participants explore actionable solutions to the lingering power crisis.

As one of Nigeria’s largest onshore crude oil-producing areas, Isoko Nation generates substantial revenue for both Delta State and the country at large. INYA President, Comrade Eniwake Orogun, stressed the importance of youth voices in shaping the economic and political direction of the region. Secretary-General Governor Emumena added that the outcomes of the discussions will be compiled into a comprehensive position paper to be presented to both the Delta State and Federal Governments, with the aim of fostering sustainable growth and prosperity for Isoko people.

The meeting will kick off at exactly 11:00 AM and is expected to draw high-profile youth leaders, policymakers, and concerned citizens. With tensions high over the state of governance, oil revenue management, and persistent infrastructural challenges, the event is being touted as a pivotal moment for Isoko’s political and economic advocacy.
