Chelsea have agreed a deal with Borussia Dortmund for 20-year-old winger, Jamie Gittens to arrive at Stamford Bridge on a seven-year contract following a medical on Saturday evening.
Gittens fee is believed to be around £55 million ($75m) after a £42m offer by the Blues was rejected prior to the Club World Cup.
Chelsea wanted to sign Gittens ahead of this summer’s tournament in the United States, but were forced to wait before finally agreeing a deal for one of their top targets.
With Jadon Sancho gone and Joao Felix expected to follow him out of the door, Enzo Maresca will be glad to have former Manchester City player Gittens secured ahead of the new season.
