As Muslims across Nigeria prepare for the 2025 Eid-el-Kabir celebrations, the Adamawa State Police Command has intensified security operations to guarantee the safety of residents and visitors during the festive period.

In a statement released ahead of Sallah, the Commissioner of Police in Adamawa State, CP Dankombo Morris, reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to protecting lives and property throughout the Eid-el-Kabir holiday and beyond. He emphasized that proactive strategies are being implemented to prevent any form of disruption during the festivities.

The Command’s Public Relations Officer, SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, disclosed that the Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of Operations has been assigned to coordinate a comprehensive deployment of officers across all zones in the state. He added that Area Commanders, Divisional Police Officers (DPOs), and Tactical Commanders have been directed to assume full operational control in their jurisdictions to enhance swift response to incidents.

The security arrangements include increased patrols, strategic surveillance, and visibility policing at key locations such as Eid prayer grounds, public parks, residential areas, and commercial hubs. These measures aim to deter criminal elements, foster public confidence, and ensure a safe environment for Sallah celebrations.

In his goodwill message, CP Morris extended warm greetings to the Executive Governor of Adamawa State, Rt. Hon. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, and the people of the state, wishing them a peaceful and joyous Eid-el-Kabir. He urged all officers deployed for Sallah duties to maintain professionalism, vigilance, and respect for human rights while discharging their responsibilities.

The Police Commissioner also called on residents to remain law-abiding, cooperate with security personnel, and promptly report any suspicious activity or security concerns to the nearest police station or via emergency hotlines.

As the countdown to Eid-el-Kabir 2025 continues, the Adamawa State Police Command has assured the public of its unwavering resolve to maintain law and order, making safety a top priority during one of the most significant Islamic celebrations in the country.
