The Delta State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has lauded the state Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori for his recent commissioning of major infrastructural and developmental projects across the state.
The commendation came on the heels of a series of high-profile commissioning ceremonies held in Warri and other parts of Delta State within the past three days.
According to a statement by its Publicity Secretary, Valentine Onojeghuo, Esq., APC described the projects as “bold and deliberate strides towards achieving transformational urban renewal,” aligning with the Governor’s M.O.R.E. Agenda—which stands for Meaningful Development, Opportunities for All, Realistic Reforms, and Enhanced Peace and Security.
The statement specifically pointed at the newly commissioned eight units fully furnished four-bedroom duplexes at the Commissioner’s quarters, built to house state commissioners.

“The completion of the commissioners’ quarters is a commendable initiative that enhances the dignity and efficiency of governance. It’s a practical step in ensuring that executive council members function optimally in a conducive environment,” Onojeghuo stated.
Another highlight is the comprehensive upgrade of the Warri Central Hospital, now equipped with modern, life-saving diagnostic and treatment equipment. Health professionals and residents alike have praised the development, saying it significantly boosts healthcare delivery in Warri and adjoining communities.
Onojeghuo particularly emphasized the impact of road infrastructure on economic and social life, citing the reconstruction and expansion of both the Lower and Upper Erejuwa Roads in Warri. Once dilapidated and impassable in many sections, the roads have been transformed into well-paved, fully lit thoroughfares featuring pedestrian walkways and drainage systems. “These are not just roads; they are economic corridors,” he said. “Their rehabilitation will reduce travel time, enhance mobility, and stimulate commercial activities in Warri, a city vital to Delta State’s economy.”
He further praised the Oborevwori administration’s consistent effort in executing projects that address both urban and rural needs, describing the Governor as a “promise-keeper” whose governance style reflects inclusivity, pragmatism, and vision.
“Today, we are not just witnessing the opening of projects—we are witnessing the fulfillment of promises,” Onojeghuo said to reporters. “What His Excellency is doing is laudable and deserves recognition. His efforts so far reflect a clear commitment to inclusive governance and infrastructural rebirth of our dear state.”
The Delta APC further urge all residents of the state, regardless of political affiliation, to support the Oborevwori-led administration in the collective interest of development, unity, and prosperity.
“The Governor’s agenda aligns with the collective aspirations of our people. We therefore urge every Deltan to rally behind this administration for the sake of progress,” the statement said.
