Governor Monday Okpebholo of Edo State has ordered the immediate suspension of the Okumagbe of Uwano Kingdom, Agenebode, in Estako East Local Government Area of the state, George Egabor, over cases of kidnappings and killings in his domain.
In a statement announcing the governor’s pronouncement, his Chief Press Secretary, Fred Itua, revealed that the Secretary to the suspended monarch, Chief Peter Omiogbemhi, has been arrested in connection with the death of a palace chief, John Ikhamate.

He added the suspension of the traditional ruler is indefinite.
It would be recalled that the Gov. Okpebholo has recently signed into law a legislation authorising the demolition of buildings linked to kidnappers .
