Nollywood actress Chika Ike announced the arrival of her child on her Instagram page on March 6, 2025.
The actress posted a picture with her child on Instagram, saying “welcome to the world, my sunshine.”
Recently, she faced rumours suggesting that Sen. Ned Nwoko, a prominent politician and businessman married to actress Regina Daniels, was the father of her child.
Chika firmly dismissed these claims, stressing her desire to maintain her privacy, and her disinterest in becoming anyone’s seventh wife.
While she usually regards such speculation as trivial, she felt compelled to clarify the situation due to its potential impact on her child.

Sen. Nwoko on his own has debunked claims that he plans to marry Chika Ike, and has denied being the father of her unborn child.
The senator’s office issued a rebuttal, saying “our attention has been drawn to the recent false rumours alleging that Senator Ned Nwoko is planning to marry Nollywood actress, Chika Ike as his seventh wife, and that she is pregnant for him.
”We categorically state that these claims are entirely baseless, and a product of malicious speculation.”
