The Senator representing Ebonyi Central, Ken Eze, has strongly condemned the brutal killing of 13 people in Nkalaha Amegu community, Ishielu Local Government Area, describing the attack as barbaric and unacceptable.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, Senator Eze expressed deep sorrow over the tragic incident, vowing to ensure that the perpetrators are swiftly brought to justice. He extended heartfelt condolences to the affected families, emphasizing that the senseless killings have left the community in pain and mourning.
“It is with profound sadness that I extend my condolences to the families and loved ones of those who lost their lives in this devastating attack. Many lives and properties have been lost, while others are currently receiving treatment in hospitals. This is a moment of grief for us all, and I share in your pain,” Senator Eze stated.

“This tragic incident highlights the urgent need for security agencies to enhance intelligence gathering and act swiftly to prevent such heinous crimes. I call on all relevant authorities to ensure that those responsible for this attack face the full weight of the law,” he added.
Senator Eze commended Ebonyi State Governor, Francis Nwifuru, for his swift intervention in restoring normalcy to the area and preventing further attacks. He urged the people of Ishielu to remain calm and peaceful, assuring them that all necessary measures are being taken to deliver justice and prevent a recurrence of such violence.
