A deadly explosion rocked a mining site in Sabon Pegi, Mashegun Local Government Area of Niger State, on Sunday morning, leaving four people dead and several others injured. The tragic incident has plunged the local community into panic and raised questions about safety practices at mining operations.
The blast occurred as miners resumed work for the day. Though the exact cause is yet to be confirmed, community members suspect it may have resulted from the improper handling of explosive devices often used by mining companies in the area.
