Bayern Munich says the captain of the club, Manuel Neuer completed his first running session to fast-track his recovery from a surgery he had on his knee.
The 35-year-old German goalkeeper who has equalled the record of the legendary Oliver Kahn’s 310th Bundesliga win and draw game with Bayern Munich last played on 5th February in a 3-2 win against RB Leipzig while saving a last-minute effort by Emil Forsberg to deny the visitors a leveller.
However, Bayern Munich, who presently tops the Bundesliga table with 53 points from 25 games, lost 4-2 to Bochum and managed to get a draw in their Champions League round of 16 match with Salzburg in the absence of Neuer.
More so, going by the results of the club on February 12 and 16, which is one of the worst runs by the Bundesliga giant in 10 months, Bayern Munich were able to end it with a 4-1 win over Greuther Fuerth over the weekend.

Bayern Munich in a statement on Monday asserted that the club’s captain at the Saebener Strasse was able to complete his first running session.
Bayern said, “The next step on the road back! Manuel Neuer completed his first running session at Saebener Strasse on Monday.”
Meanwhile, the club is still skeptical about the time Neuer will return to action but according to unconfirmed reports from Germany, the goalkeeper is most likely to return in mid-March.
The Bundesliga giant, who are already on course to clinch their 10th successive title, are 6 points clear from second-placed Borussia Dortmund and 14 points clear of Bayern Leverkusen.
