The Federal College of Education, Ididep, located in Ibiono Ibom Local Government Area, Akwa Ibom State, has opened its doors for admissions into its National Certificate in Education (NCE) programmes for the 2024/2025 academic session. Established in 2023 by the Federal Government of Nigeria, the college was designed to produce competent and highly skilled teachers for the foundational levels of the country’s education sector.
With a mission to become a global hub of academic excellence, the institution focuses on innovative teaching, cutting-edge research, and the training of motivated educators who are prepared to excel in various areas of specialization. The Federal College of Education Ididep is now inviting applications from qualified candidates interested in pursuing any of its robust and dynamic NCE programmes.
The institution offers a wide range of programmes under five distinct schools. These include Early Childhood Care and Education, English and Ibibio Languages, Christian Religious Studies, Social Studies, Mathematics, Computer Education, Business Education, and Agricultural Education, among others. These courses are tailored to address the demands of modern education while equipping students with practical skills and theoretical knowledge.

To qualify for admission, candidates must have achieved a minimum score of 100 in the 2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME). Even candidates who did not initially select the college as their first choice can still apply. They must, however, log onto the JAMB Central Admissions and Processing System (CAPS) portal to change their first-choice institution to the Federal College of Education Ididep, Ibiono.
Applicants are also required to possess at least five relevant credit passes in subjects, including English Language, in their Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSCE), WAEC, NECO, NABTEB, or GCE, obtained in not more than two sittings. Additionally, candidates must submit a soft copy of their change of institution form to the college’s official email address at registrar.fceididep@gmail.com or visit the college in person for submission.
