Governor Francis Nwifuru of Ebonyi State has declared a disputed parcel of land in the Ivo Local Government Area of the state as a buffer zone.
Two communities, Umobor-Akaeze and Ogwor-lshiagu are lay claim to the disputed land.
Gov. Nwifuru, consequently directed both parties to stay away from the disputed land, warning that anyone found in the land will be made to face the wrath of the law.

The governor also directed security agencies to beef up security to ensure full compliance with the directive and to maintain law and order in the area.
This is contained in a statement issued on Thursday by the Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Grace Umezurike and made available to newsmen in Abakaliki.
Meanwhile, the governor has invited 20 stakeholders from each of the disputing communities to a meeting scheduled for December 16.
