The senator representing Taraba Central Senatorial District, Sen. Manu Haruna has embarked on the massive Information Communication Technology (ICT) training of students across his constituency.
Before this current training scheme, Sen. Manu had embarked on a similar training where over 1, 000 students benefitted and were presented with starter packs.
The ongoing training exercise organized in collaboration with the Centre for National Productivity started on Wednesday and is expected to end on Thursday, when the trainees will collect their starter packs consisting of computers and other necessary gadgets.
The programme is ongoing in the five local governments of Gassol, Sardauna, Bali, Kurmi and Gashaka.
While declaring the programme open, the representative of Sen. Haruna, who was the Director General of his campaign committee, Simon Dogari, who also led other members council to the event said: “This is not the first of its kind that our iconic leader has organized.

“In the past, he had organized similar training programmes where over 3,000 students benefitted across our Senatorial District.
He said: ” This particular program will sharpen the skills of all participants to prepare them for the new world order of internet surfing.
“I plead with you all to attend to your lectures with all seriousness, as at the end of this programme, you will get starter packs consisting of a laptop.”
Other prominent personalities who witnessed the start of the training scheme include, Alhassan Gassol, Alh. Shaibu Kurmi, Abbas Kaura, Abdullahi Jugulde, Hassan Bako, Somalia Sule, Alh. Falalu Manu, Alh. Alhassan Doro, Mohammed Nagogo, Prof. Yushua Bali and the Taraba State Commissioner for Science and Technology, Muslim Aruwa.a
