Traders and visitors to the popular Terminus Market in Jos, the Plateau State capital were on Tuesday, thrown into panic following rumors that a bomb was discovered at the market.
Reports on-site confirmed that businesses were temporarily shut down, and residents were asked to evacuate as a precautionary measure.
Security personnel were subsequently stationed at key entry and exit points on Old JUTH Road (near the new orthopedic hospital) to control human and vehicular traffic, while roadblocks were mounted on strategic points by security agents.

The police anti-bomb squad which responded swiftly to the bobm.scare, sources said successfully neutralized the explosive device and removed it from the site.
As at the time of this report, no official confirmation has been made by security agencies in the state and the state government.
