While highlighting the crucial role of collaboration between local governments, traditional leaders, and civil society organizations in maintaining peace, he applauded civil society groups like SFCG for their efforts in bridging the gap between the government and local communities.

“These leaders play a critical role in advocating for tolerance, dialogue, and reconciliation, and their involvement is essential for fostering a culture of peace,” Ngarka stated.

Describing the traditional leaders, as
custodians of culture and morality, he tenaciously argued that they are
instrumental to promoting peaceful coexistence through non-violent conflict resolution and dialogue.

The chairman who also emphasized the vital role of the media in shaping public perception, urges journalists and media outlets to adopt responsible reporting practices that promote peace rather than incite division.

He admonished the media to focus on stories of reconciliation, coexistence, and non-violent conflict resolution, stating that the media can serve as a powerful tool for peace.

He was Al observed to have called for the establishment of community dialogue forums where disputes could be settled through negotiation and understanding instead of violence.

Advocating for the creation of platforms for peaceful conflict resolution, dialogue, as made known by him, remains one of the most effective tools for resolving conflicts.

Aligning his weight to that of the Peace Committee chairman, the SFCG’s Taraba State Project Coordinator, Dubi Sonam, echoed the call for ensuring equal access to opportunities, justice, and security for all, regardless of gender, ethnicity, or religion.

He as well stressed the importance of inclusivity and urged individuals to contribute to peacebuilding in their communities.
