Armed bandits launched a daring raid on the Primary Healthcare Centre in Kuyallo, Birnin-Gwari Local Government Area of Kaduna State, on Monday, September 9, 2024. The attackers abducted two nurses and an unknown number of patients, heightening fears and uncertainty in the community.
According to Musa Alhassan, a leader of a local vigilante group, the bandits first targeted the nearby Government Day Secondary School around 9 a.m. However, finding the school empty, they redirected their attack to the healthcare center.

“They came to the school looking for students but found it deserted,” Alhassan explained. “They then proceeded to the healthcare center, where they kidnapped two female nurses and several patients.”
An eyewitness described the chaos: “The bandits stormed the healthcare center with guns and machetes, forcibly dragging people out. We were helpless to stop them.”
This incident marks another disturbing chapter in the ongoing banditry crisis in Kaduna State, emphasizing the urgent need for enhanced security measures to safeguard communities and vital healthcare facilities.
As of the time of this report, neither the Kaduna State Police Command nor state government officials have issued a statement confirming the details of the incident.
