The leadership of the Foundation for Peace, Hope and Conflict Management, FPHCM-Nigeria, on weekend, unanimously agreed that promoting peace education through dialogue among youths in tertiary institutions would provide ample opportunities for students to embrace peace
The method, if adopted, they believed will go a long way to pave way for students spread across Taraba and the country as a whole to embrace peaceful coexistence and enhance growth as well as development in campuses.
Making this known at a two-day workshop organized by the Foundation for the students of the Federal University Wukari, FUW, in Wurkari local government council of the state, the Executive Director of the foundation, Rev. Father Anthony Bature, believed that if the youths, who he described as future leaders, are well sensitized and trained on peacebuilding initiatives, the sky will be their starting point.
Affirming that “they will serve as agents of change in these respective jurisdictions irrespective of their religious and tribal beliefs.”

Becoming educated, according to the Executive Director, is not just enough, emphasizing that, to be civilized by living in a peaceful environment, remains the best form of education.
Captioned “Promoting peace education through digital among youths in Federal University, Wukari” he urged students to always adopt concepts of alternative dispute resolution made in ur to avoid conflicts in schools and the society at large.
The two-day exercise was geared at promoting peace among the different ethnic and religious backgrounds in higher institutions and to as well create a teaching and learning environment devoid of ethnic or religious upheavals.
