The National Broadcasting Commission, NBC has given its Direct-Broadcasting Satellite approval to The Trumpet TV, an emerging local and international news television station.
The approval, which was given on Friday, was signed by the Director General of the Commission, Balarabe Shehu Ilelah.
Speaking about the development, Dr Endurance Edafewotu, Managing Director of Elomaz Communications Limited, owner of The Trumpet TV said the approval signifies a new dawn for Nigeria in the news coverage and broadcast industry.
He said The Trumpet TV shall give premium broadcasting and undiluted news contents to Nigerians. Edafewotu added that the TV Station shall be hooked on DSTV when broadcasting kicks off in earnest.

“I am excited to inform you that Elomaz Communications Limited has been given approval by the National Broadcasting Commission, NBC to formally launch, operate and manage The Trumpet TV as a Direct-Broadcasting Satellite TV.
“With this approval today, I can assure you that Nigeria and Nigerians are about to experience a new dimension in Broadcasting. We shall dish out to the public, both locally and internationally, quality programmes and unbiased news contents,” Edafewotu stated.
He commended the NBC for the approval while assuring the Commission that The Trumpet TV shall be guided by the rules governing the broadcast industry.
