The Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, has said the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has ruined the Nigeria economy, security and other sectors since it assumed office eight years ago.
Atiku stated this at the PDP rally in Akure, the Ondo State capital.
The former Vice President maintained that PDP would offer Nigerians another historic opportunity to make the country work again if he is elected as the President in 2023.He said he is contesting to rewrite history and make sure that the country’s economy, security, unity, and education rise again as well as devolve more resources and powers to the federating units.
He said his government will give the country’s economy the major priority, adding that he planned to revive the economy and make it stand in the rightful place in Africa.

He said if elected, he would make sure that all the Federal roads linking the state are motorable, and ensure young men and women are employed as well as empowered.
“We will provide enough funds for education to make our universities continue to work perfectly, not the one we are witnessing today under the party who is careless about education.”Speaking, the National Chairman of the party, Senator Dr Iyorchia Ayu, said the party will win the 2023 general elections.
While beseeching voters to cast their vote for candidates of the party, he said that during the PDP era in 1999 the country was reformed, but was now in bad shape under the APC.
