The Presidential candidate of the All Progressive Congress(APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, on Sunday met with the leaders of the Pan Socio-Political Group, Afenifere in Akure, Ondo State capital.
Tinubu who arrived at the state Airport visited the national leader of the group, Pa Reuben Fasoranti and other leaders of the group where he was endorsed.
Tinubu at the meeting presented his 80-page Action Plan document on how he would tackle the economic and other problems facing the country.
Speaking Fasoranti reflected on his happiness over Tinubu’s clinching of the APC presidential ticket, saying he had earlier asked for his blessings in April but told him to get the party’s ticket first.
He prayed that Tinubu would win the election and would be alive to witness his inauguration in May of next year.
He further described Tinubu as a complete Nigerian, saying he is optimistic he would perform better than he did as Lagos state governor.
Earlier, the former Secretary General of the group Basorun Sehinde Arogbofa, urged Tinubu to unite Nigeria as well as work for its progress and development.
He said when he(Tinubu) becomes the president, restructuring, security and fixing the economy should be his major concern as the country is no longer safe.
While reiterating the need for state police, he said Tinubu becoming president offers the best chance to produce a government that will usher in a new Era of hope, peace, security, harmony, gainful employment for the multitude, economic development, social and political stability.
Also, the former Secretary of the Government of the Federation, Chief Olu Falae, who bemoaned the falling value of the Naira, charged Tinubu to work to fix the economy.
“I used my life to serve Nigeria and in old age, I don’t want all I have used my life for to be wasted. Our naira is almost becoming useless and will soon become N1000 to a dollar.

Similarly, Governor Rotimi Akeredolu who was represented by his deputy, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, said the State people are Afenifere and will support Tinubu to win.
Aiyedatiwa said Tinubu has the reach, and the competence to lead Nigeria.
The Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji guaranteed the Yoruba leaders that all the governors of South West and Ekiti people are solidly behind Tinubu.
Speaking through his deputy, Bayo Lawal, Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, drummed support for Tinubu after being endorsed by Afenifere despite belonging to different parties.
Lawal said that the administration of governor Makinde supports any discussion on Yoruba and at home with the stance of the group.
He was, however, not categorical that his government has also endorsed Tinubu’s presidency, saying Seyi doesn’t joke with Yoruba matters.
In his response, Tinubu said President Muhammadu Buhari, governors of parties from the North and other Northern leaders have verified to him that Nigeria can overcome its unity and other challenges.
He said he had come to fulfil his promise of coming back to visit Pa Fasoranti after winning the party’s ticket as well as asked other Yoruba leaders to thank President Buhari and Northern Governors for keeping their promise.
Present at the meeting included leaders of groups from the six South West States including Kwara and Kogi.
