Ondo State chapter of the All Progressive Congress (APC) has called on the State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu to turned a deaf ears to the arranged distractions by the main opposition party, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state, and remain focused on his laudable plans for the people.

In a statement by the party Publicity Secretary, Alex Kalejaye said it is impossible to achieve great goals if one caves into the temptation of flinging stones at any barking dog on his road to making a record, noting that distractions must be ignored, and focus on goals must be sustained.

APC added that the whole duty of a rudderless People Democratic Party(PDP) is to attack and fault any policy of the ruling party (APC), irrespective of its selfless values, adding that the attacks were not in the interest of the people, but to promote the chances of the opposition party ahead of prospective elections.

The party, however, described the Akeredolu led government as a reference point stating its achievements in the area of security and infrastructure as unbeatable across the land, affirming that Ondo Amotekun is arguably the most effective in the geopolitical zone.

“The Ondo State chapter holds that a government that invests massively in the security of lives and property has fared better than the one that builds skyscrapers in every street, leaving its people at the mercy of criminal elements.

“Ondo APC views as incongruous that a party which had no solution to the endless carnage and disruption of free flow of traffic in the ever busy Ore for eight years, would have no shame in digging for faults in the highly celebrated interchange constructed on the Sagamu/Benin Road, in less than three years by this administration,” APC said.

More so, they characterized the People Democratic Party(PDP) as a party that had no regards for welfare of workers in Ondo State during its administration, which left the state’s economy in disarray. The party pointed out that the PDP is not qualified to criticized the APC government that is so passionate about the welfare of the people.

The party acknowledged the practical strategies the Governor has used in tackling the inherited terribly decayed infrastructures, shoring up the state’s Internally Generated Revenue and resolving issues of concern in the state.

The party also expressed joy over the commissioning of the state’s office of the Home Ownership Charter in Akure, saying it is a nondiscriminatory development that will benefit every property owner in the State.

They urged the government to continue pursuing establishment of more industries and the deep sea port in Ondo State, letting out that they have no doubts that the health sector, education and agriculture would not be touched.

Companies Allegedly Owned By Akredolu’s Family, PDP Reveals

Earlier, the main opposition party in the state, Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) has accused the Governor of misrule in the state as well as revealing some companies owned by his family.

The party made the revelation known in a write-up by the Party State Publicity Secretary, Kennedy Peretei, saying after the party released the series 10 of “Ondo State Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu’s Misrule”, people greeted it with disbelief, while some said it was a fairytale; other said, Ondo State was too enlightened for such mindless looting and was dismissed by the clueless Government Information machinery.

According to the PDP, its independent findings revealed that the following companies are owned by the Akeredolu family:

Erudit Limited: Every document prepared for Ondo State Government carries Erudit consulting. It is owned and operated by Babajide Akeredolu using a proxy, Ibrahim Ashanke. The Providus Bank, Akure Branch account run by Erudit shows it is all Babajide’s transactions.

Egimka Nigeria Limited is used for contracting purposes and has the same Directors as Erudit, Pentabon and Egimka. The account details of these companies show they are all run by Babajide Akeredolu.

Also, the Terrenovo Agro solely owned by Babajide Akeredolu is part of the N5.5bn LPG project just commenced by ODSG.

CLARIBET CONSULTING LIMITED is also owned by Babajide, his mother, Betty and the Secretary is Babajide’s Personal Assistant, Damhindi Msendoo, whose name appears alternately as Director or Secretary of most of these companies.

In the same vein, Limerite Limited is owned by Babajide Akeredolu and Ilesanmi Ademola (Brainbox). The Company Secretary is Damhindi Msendoo.

More so, PENTAGON MOTUSI LTD is owned by Babajide Akeredolu and Damhindi Msendoo as the Secretary.

Furthermore, JAKOVIE ENERGY is owned by Babajide Akeredolu and being fronted for by Damhindi Msendoo as the MD. Jakovie has been awarded a rural electricity project in Ondo State as seen in a Vanguard publication.

The PDP urged those who think they are being govern by the APC government to wake up from their slumber and join hands to rescue and rebuild Ondo State.

“Take your time to glean through the documents. We are not arm-chair critics. We do our due diligence. As critical stakeholders, we cannot fold our hands and allow this to continue,” the party stated.
