Inter Milan have reportedly told Chelsea they will not exceed the €8m offer to bring Romelu Lukaku for a season-long loan to San Siro.
Milan whose earlier offer of €5m for the Belgium international was outrightly rejected by the West London club, had to increase the offer to €8m.
Although emerging reports from Italy disclosed that Chelsea valued the deal at circa €15m but Nerazzurri are not ready to meet the Blues’ price tag. According to Calcimento. com, Inter Milan are opposed to paying above their value for a player they sold for €115 last season to Chelsea, adding that they have lesser use for Lukaku.
It is believed that Lukaku is unhappy at Chelsea having fallen short of expectations despite the huge amount used to sign him from Italy, The Trumpet gathered.
The player struggled for form and performed poorly to record 8 goals in 26 appearances, underwhelming Chelsea’s Premier League campaign last season.

Inter Milan insist they are not constrained to sign the player, adding that their attack comprising Lautaro Martinez, Edin Dzeko, Alexis Sanchez and Joaquin Correa is one of the best in the Italian league.
However, the player is pushing to leave Stamford Bridge to rediscover his goal-poaching prowess in Italy where he was classical in Inter Milan’s attack. Following the disparity between both clubs, Italian Journalist Fabrizio Romano said Chelsea and Inter will return to table to continue the discussion over Lukaku’s proposed loan move to San Siro.
“Inter and Chelsea have scheduled a new direct contact in the coming hours for Romelu Lukaku. Inter are feeling confident, now waiting for Chelsea’s final price tag,” he said.
“Todd Boehly is open to discuss with Inter on a potential loan deal for Lukaku,” Romano added. Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel supports the move and has advised Todd Boehly to allow Lukaku leave Stamford Bridge for a season loan deal at San Siro.
