Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Bukar Tijjani, disclosed this in Maiduguri, while declaring open the 2027 citizens’ budget consultative meeting on behalf of the governor.
Tijjani urged stakeholders participating in the budget consultation to avoid proposing new capital projects that would extend beyond the remaining period of the administration.
He said the government’s priority is to ensure that ongoing projects are completed before the expiration of the administration’s mandate.
The SSG explained that the decision is intended to ensure responsible budget planning and enable the government to consolidate on projects already initiated rather than embark on new, large-scale infrastructure commitments.
Final Budget Cycle Of Zulum-Kadafur Administration
The 2027 citizens’ budget consultative meeting provides a platform for stakeholders to contribute to the state’s spending priorities and identify areas requiring government attention in the coming fiscal year.
