The wife of the slain ward chairman of the Nigerian Democratic Congress (NDC) in Benue State, Mrs. Ngodoo Terhemen, has challenged security agencies to fish out her husband’s killers and ensure that justice is served.

Mrs. Terhemen, who spoke about the incident on Tuesday in Makurdi, the Benue State capital, described her husband’s killing as dastardly and urged security agencies to do everything possible to apprehend the perpetrators.
How Benue NDC Chairman Was Killed
Recounting the circumstances surrounding her husband’s death, Mrs. Terhemen said he had gone to watch a local football match at Kanshio settlement in Makurdi after closing from work.
She said she became apprehensive when he failed to return home because he was not known to keep late hours.
According to her, she repeatedly called her husband’s phone, but he did not answer the calls.
She said that at about 2am, some of his friends arrived at the house with him in an unconscious state.
NDC Chairman Dies After Attack
Upon seeing her husband’s condition, Mrs. Terhemen said his friends assisted her in taking him to a hospital for medical attention.
However, she said a medical doctor later confirmed that he had died.
The widow alleged that her husband died after being injected with a poisonous substance by his assailants.
She further alleged that the attackers had tied his hands before administering the substance.

Mrs. Terhemen appealed to security agencies to investigate the circumstances surrounding the killing, identify those responsible and bring them to justice.
She described the death as a devastating loss and called for urgent action to prevent the perpetrators from escaping accountability.
