The Ebonyi State Police Command has arrested one Mr. Justice Ozobi and his accomplice over N700,000 bribery allegation made against the state commissioner of police by six families for the release of their sons.

The arrest of the man and his accomplice was contained in a statement issued on Friday, by the command’s Police Public Relations Officer, SP Joshua Ukandu and made available to journalists in Abakaliki.
The statement stated that the suspects used the photograph of a former state commissioner of police in their post on their social media handles, thereby subjecting the retired senior police officer to unwarranted public ridicule and embarrassment.
The suspects according to the police, were arrested in Anambra State and have since been brought to the Ebonyi State Command for investigation.
The command said it will provide further updates as the investigation progresses.
The command reiterated that citizens have the right to express their views, raise genuine concerns, and make constructive observations aimed at improving policing within the state.
