British-Nigerian businessman and social media influencer Igho “Tiny” Ubiribo has died following complications from a cosmetic penis enlargement procedure he underwent at a clinic in Thailand.

Ubiribo, 43, died in March after receiving injections containing hyaluronic acid and lidocaine during a luxury trip to Bangkok with his wife, Danielle Simba Allen.

Details of his death emerged during an inquest at Inner West London Coroners’ Court.

According to evidence presented at the inquest, Ubiribo received about 40 millilitres of the filler at an unnamed clinic. After the procedure, he and his wife reportedly went for a massage, where he complained of chest pain and collapsed twice.

He was taken by ambulance to Sukhumvit Hospital, where he initially remained conscious and was able to respond to questions.

His wife informed doctors about the cosmetic injections, but Ubiribo lost consciousness before a recommended CT scan could be carried out.

Medical personnel subsequently diagnosed him with a pulmonary embolism, a potentially fatal condition in which a blood clot blocks blood flow in the lungs.

Ubiribo was transferred to intensive care, where doctors reportedly performed CPR for more than 100 minutes. He died in the early hours of March 6.

A postmortem examination conducted in the United Kingdom later found cellular material in his lungs consistent with the hyaluronic acid used in the procedure.

Coroner Jean Harkin concluded that Ubiribo died from a pulmonary embolism caused by complications from the cosmetic treatment.

Ubiribo had about 185,000 followers on Instagram and was known for documenting an affluent lifestyle.

He reportedly owned properties in Los Angeles and London and married Allen, a fashion designer and socialite, in a lavish ceremony in Zimbabwe in 2022.

He was later buried in London in a gold coffin. Among those reported to have attended his funeral were Nigerian music star Davido and socialite Cubana Chief Priest.

Hyaluronic acid fillers are sometimes used for cosmetic penis enlargement, but medical experts have warned that the procedure can result in serious complications.

Ubiribo’s death has renewed concerns about the potential risks associated with cosmetic procedures involving injectable fillers, particularly when performed outside regulated medical settings.
