Ahead of the January 16, 2027 presidential and National Assembly elections, national leader of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Senator Henry Seriake Dickson, has called on party members, aspirants and stakeholders to unite and work together to secure victory for the party’s candidates at all levels.

Dickson Meets Obi, Kwankwaso
Dickson made the call after two days of consultations with the NDC presidential candidate, Peter Obi, and his running mate, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso.
The former Bayelsa State governor disclosed the meetings in a statement posted on his verified Facebook page.
According to Dickson, he met with Obi and Kwankwaso alongside the NDC National Chairman and other party leaders as part of ongoing consultations on issues affecting the party and the country.

He said the party held discussions two days earlier and reconvened on Thursday to further deliberate on outstanding issues and finalise decisions ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The consultations also focused on preparations for the unveiling of the party’s Campaign Council.
Dickson Urges NDC Members to Close Ranks
Dickson appealed to all stakeholders, aspirants and members of the party to put aside their differences and work collectively towards the success of the NDC in the forthcoming elections.
“At this critical stage, I call on all stakeholders, aspirants and members of our great Party to unite, close ranks and work collectively for the success of our candidates at all levels, from top to bottom,” he said.
The former governor’s appeal comes as political parties intensify preparations for the 2027 presidential and National Assembly elections.
The NDC is expected to unveil its campaign structure as the party prepares to take its message to voters across the country.
Dickson said continued consultations among party leaders and stakeholders remained important to strengthening the party and ensuring effective coordination ahead of the elections.
