Nigerian social media personality Diadem has broken her silence over rumours linking her to popular businessman and socialite Big Churchill, describing the claims as false and urging the public to stop turning assumptions into facts.
Diadem addressed the controversy in a series of statements shared on social media after speculation surrounding her relationship with Big Churchill began circulating online.
According to her, the rumours have wrongly attached a pregnancy narrative to what she described as a longstanding friendship with Big Churchill.
Diadem said she has known Big Churchill for more than 13 years, dating back to her school days in Ghana, and insisted that their relationship is strictly platonic.
“I’ve known Big Churchill for over 13 years. We have a long-standing friendship that dates back to my school days in Ghana,” she stated.
She specifically dismissed the pregnancy claims, describing the narrative connecting her friendship with Big Churchill to pregnancy as “completely false.”
The clarification came amid growing speculation online, with social media users attempting to interpret the nature of their relationship and connect Diadem to a pregnancy story.
However, Diadem maintained that her appearances at events involving Big Churchill and her support for people close to her should not be interpreted as evidence of a romantic relationship.
“I attend my friend’s events, I support the people I care about, and that’s all there is to it,” she said, adding that not every friendship should be turned into gossip.
The social media personality also addressed claims that she had previously confirmed being pregnant or made statements that could be interpreted as confirming the rumours.
Diadem strongly denied this, saying she never admitted to being pregnant for anyone and did not confirm any of the narratives being circulated.
“One more thing; I never admitted to being pregnant for anyone, nor did I confirm any of the narratives currently being circulated,” she clarified.
She further explained the controversy surrounding the phrase “my married ex,” which she said had been misunderstood.
According to Diadem, the phrase was merely a reference to wording that had already been used publicly and was not an admission that she was involved in the relationship being alleged online.
“The term ‘my married ex’ was simply me referencing a phrase that had already been used publicly,” she explained.
She expressed frustration that her comments had allegedly been taken out of context and transformed into an entirely different narrative.
“Somehow, that has now been turned into an entirely different story,” she said.
Diadem consequently appealed to social media users and those sharing the claims to exercise caution, stressing that speculation should not be presented as established fact.
“Please, let’s stop turning assumptions into facts,” she added.
