RealWarriPikin Event Controversy Resolved As Parties Reach Peace Agreement

The controversy surrounding the proposed RealWarriPikin event in Effurun, Delta State, has been resolved following a reconciliation meeting involving representatives of the Delta State Government, comedian Anita Asuoha, popularly known as RealWarriPikin, the Wado City Advocacy Group, Prince Collins Eselemo, Chief Godfrey Ishegbe and other stakeholders.

According to a joint statement issued after the meeting, the parties agreed to put the controversy behind them and work together to ensure peace and the successful hosting of the RealWarriPikin event in Effurun.

The reconciliation meeting provided an opportunity for the parties to openly discuss their concerns, clarify issues and address the developments that led to the recent controversy surrounding the proposed event.

 

The Wado City Advocacy Group was represented by Olorogun Dr. Ejiro Imuere and Omonire Isaac Ovwigho, while Chief Godfrey Ishegbe also participated in the peace meeting.

 

At the end of the discussions, the parties unanimously agreed to refrain from further public confrontations, exchanges of accusations or hostile communication regarding the matter, whether on social media or through any other platform.

 

They also acknowledged that the events of the past few days may have caused concern, confusion and embarrassment among members of the public, RealWarriPikin supporters and residents of Effurun.

 

As part of the resolution, all the parties jointly apologised to everyone who may have been inconvenienced, disappointed or affected by the manner in which the matter became public.

They also expressed appreciation to those who demonstrated patience, understanding and restraint while efforts were being made to resolve the issue.

 

The statement emphasised that the outcome of the meeting should not be viewed as a victory or defeat for any individual or group.

 

“There are no winners or losers in this matter. What is important is that the concerns raised have been addressed, communication has been restored and all parties have committed themselves to working together respectfully,” the statement noted.

 

The parties further disclosed that the confirmed date, venue and full address of the proposed RealWarriPikin event would be announced after the necessary arrangements had been concluded.

 

They also thanked everyone who encouraged a peaceful resolution throughout the period, emphasising that peace had been restored and that all parties had agreed to move forward together.

 

The joint statement was signed by the Wado City Advocacy Group, represented by Olorogun Dr. Ejiro Imuere and Omonire Isaac Ovwigho; Anita Asuoha, popularly known as RealWarriPikin; Prince Collins Eselemo; Chief Godfrey Ishegbe, Convener; and a representative of the Delta State Government.

 

A copy of the statement was also addressed to the Chairman of Uvwie Local Government Area, Hon. Chief Anthony Onoriode Ofoni (JP).
