The Federal Government has announced that stipend payment requests for beneficiaries of the Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Cohort 2 programme for July have been forwarded to the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) and approved for payment.
The development was disclosed in an update shared with TVET beneficiaries through TVET’s official social media handles on Friday, indicating that payments could begin reaching beneficiaries as early as next week.
According to the update, the July stipend payment requests have completed the necessary processing stage and are now awaiting disbursement by NELFUND.

“TVET cohort 2 JULY stipend payment requests have been sent to NELFUND, and it has been approved for payment. Your payment may start dropping next week,” the update stated.
The announcement is expected to provide relief to beneficiaries who have been awaiting their July stipends.
The TVET programme is part of the Federal Government’s efforts to expand access to technical and vocational skills training and equip young Nigerians with practical skills for employment and entrepreneurship.
Beneficiaries have been advised to monitor their accounts for incoming payments as the disbursement process gets underway.
The update was issued under the Federal Ministry of Education (FME) and TVET programme communication channels.
