Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly preparing a major move for Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen, with the North London club ready to open talks with Turkish champions Galatasaray before the close of the summer transfer window.

Reports indicate that Spurs, who have already invested heavily in strengthening their squad this summer, have identified Osimhen as a priority attacking target as manager Thomas Frank continues to reshape the team ahead of the new season.

The Nigerian forward is said to have received internal approval from Tottenham’s sporting department, with the club considering an opening offer of around £55 million.

However, Galatasaray are believed to value the prolific striker at approximately £65 million, setting the stage for potentially difficult negotiations.

Osimhen joined Galatasaray on a permanent deal from Napoli and remains under contract until 2029.

The Turkish champions are reportedly under no pressure to sell, having secured one of Europe’s most sought-after forwards and a player regarded as central to their long-term ambitions.

The 27-year-old has continued to enhance his reputation as one of the continent’s elite strikers.

Over the past four seasons, Osimhen has scored 107 goals in 145 appearances across all competitions and has consistently delivered in major tournaments, including the UEFA Champions League.

His impressive form has helped drive title-winning campaigns, leading Napoli to the Italian Serie A crown before playing a key role in Galatasaray’s back-to-back Turkish Super Lig triumphs.

Osimhen’s performances have attracted interest from several European giants in recent years, with Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United, Paris Saint-Germain, Bayern Munich, Barcelona and Juventus all previously linked with the Nigerian international.

Tottenham’s renewed pursuit underlines the club’s determination to add a proven goalscorer capable of spearheading its attack in both domestic and European competitions.

Whether Spurs can convince Galatasaray to part with their star striker remains uncertain, particularly given the Turkish club’s firm valuation and Osimhen’s importance to their future plans.

However, with the transfer window still open, the race for one of Africa’s most prolific forwards appears far from over.
