Super Eagles striker Tolu Arokodare has denied reports suggesting he acted unprofessionally during an alleged transfer dispute with Premier League side Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Reacting to the claims in a statement shared on his official X account, the Nigerian international said he was surprised by the reports on Thursday, insisting that much of the information circulating in the media was inaccurate.
“I was very surprised and disappointed to see the media reports today, many of which are inaccurate,” Arokodare wrote.
The forward stressed that he has always maintained a high level of professionalism throughout his career, both in training and during matches, and remains fully committed to giving his best whenever called upon.
He explained that his focus has always been on preparing himself properly in order to contribute positively to the team’s success.

Arokodare also reaffirmed his commitment to Wolverhampton Wanderers, noting that he remains under contract with the Premier League club and intends to honour his obligations.
“My only intention is to fulfil my responsibilities professionally by training, doing my job, and contributing to the team in accordance with my contract,” he stated.
His response follows reports linking him with a potential move away from Wolves. The speculation claimed the club rejected an offer from Italian Serie A side Fiorentina while accepting a bid from Turkish outfit Trabzonspor, allegedly leading to tension over his future.
However, Arokodare’s statement appears to dismiss suggestions that he disrupted the club’s preparations, making it clear that he remains focused on his professional duties despite the ongoing transfer speculation.
The 25-year-old striker is expected to continue preparations with Wolves as uncertainty over his long-term future at the club persists.
