The Cross River State government has provided financial support to families who lost loved ones during the recent flood and landslide disasters in Calabar, the state capital.
The beneficiaries include Mr. Kingsley Etim, who lost his four children in the devastating landslide at Ikot Anwatim, Miss Sunday Jennifer, whose father lost his life while attempting to rescue the children during the incident, and Mrs. Chinonso Dominic, who lost her one-month-old baby after floodwaters swept the child away at Elijah Henshaw Street, Calabar.
The undisclosed financial support was presented to the victims families by the Special Adviser to the governor on General Duties, Ekpenyong Akiba, as part of the state government’s continued commitment to assisting victims affected by the tragic incidents.
