Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has commended President Bola Tinubu and security agencies for the successful rescue of the pupils, teachers and caregivers abducted in Oyo State, describing the operation as a victory for the nation’s security efforts.
In a statement issued on Saturday by his Chief Press Secretary, Prince Ebenezer Adeniyan, the governor expressed gratitude to God for the safe return of the victims and praised President Tinubu for providing decisive leadership that facilitated a swift and coordinated rescue operation.
Governor Aiyedatiwa also lauded the police, the Department of State Services (DSS), the army, the Western Nigeria Security Network (Amotekun), and local vigilante groups for their professionalism, bravery and effective collaboration in securing the victims’ release.
According to the governor, the successful operation demonstrates the federal government’s commitment to protecting the lives and property of Nigerians through coordinated security efforts.

“The safe rescue of these pupils and their teachers is a victory for all of us and a testament to the commitment of the federal government to protect the lives and property of Nigerians,” he said.
The Ogovernor also congratulated his Oyo State counterpart, Governor Seyi Makinde, on the successful outcome of the rescue mission.
He reaffirmed Ondo State’s commitment to strengthening collaboration with neighbouring states and federal security agencies to improve security and safeguard schools across the South-West.
Governor Aiyedatiwa further prayed for the speedy recovery of victims who may have -suffered trauma during their captivity and assured the government and people of Oyo State of Ondo State’s solidarity in the aftermath of the incident.
