The Nigerian resource persons include NFF Executive Committee member and FIFA Media Committee member Aisha Falode; Professor Mariam Suleiman of Ahmadu Bello University; retired Chief Lecturer Dr. Anthonia Chinyere Uwa of Nwafor Orizu College of Education, Nsugbe; and Mohammed Ameenu, a former National League referee, FIFA-trained technical instructor, FIFA-certified safeguarding officer and Special Assistant to the NFF General Secretary.

The training will be coordinated by the NFF Director of Competitions, Ruth David, who also serves as a FIFA and CAF Match Commissioner.

According to the NFF, the initiative is designed to equip Women Football Administrators with modern leadership, governance, technical and safeguarding skills to strengthen the management and long-term development of women’s football in Nigeria.

Meanwhile, former Super Eagles captain Ahmed Musa has donated ₦2 million to Nigeria’s U20 national team, the Flying Eagles, as they intensify preparations for the 2026 WAFU B U20 Championship scheduled to take place in Côte d’Ivoire from July 26 to August 9.

Musa, Nigeria’s most-capped international with 111 appearances and a four-time FIFA World Cup goalscorer, presented the donation through the team’s coordinator, Alhaji Abubakar Abubakar.

The 2013 Africa Cup of Nations winner urged the young players to remain disciplined, focused and committed, stressing that success at youth level often lays the foundation for a successful professional football career.

Drawing from his experience of winning the Africa U20 Cup of Nations with the Flying Eagles in 2011, Musa encouraged the players to seize the opportunity and fight for qualification for next year’s Africa U20 Cup of Nations.

Responding on behalf of the squad, team captain Simon Habila thanked the former Super Eagles skipper for his generosity and assured him that the players remain determined to make Nigeria proud at the regional tournament.
