Governor Douye Diri of Bayelsa State has urged National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members to refrain from any activity that would expose them to sacrificing their future for temporary pleasure.

Represented by his Executive Assistant on NYSC Matters, Wisdom Poyeri, Governor Diri commended the corps members for their discipline, resilience, and active participation throughout the three-week orientation programme.
He urged them to uphold the values acquired in camp, stressing that the decisions they make during their service year would determine their future.

“Do not jeopardize your future for temporary pleasure. Remain law-abiding, diligent, focused, and worthy ambassadors of the NYSC and your families,” the governor said.
Governor Diri also assured the corps members of the Bayelsa State government’s commitment to providing a peaceful, secure, and enabling environment throughout their service year.
“Bayelsa is your home for the next one year. Make it count and make the state proud,” he added.
Earlier, the Bayelsa State NYSC Coordinator, Mr. Samuel Pepple, congratulated the corps members on successfully completing the orientation course.
Pepple urged them to uphold the discipline, patriotism, and spirit of national unity instilled during the exercise while making meaningful contributions to their host communities.
He encouraged them to carry out their assignments with dedication, integrity, and a strong sense of responsibility.
