The State of Qatar has announced new employment opportunities for skilled Nigerian professionals in 2026, as part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen its workforce in the energy and industrial sector.

According to the announcement on Monday, the recruitment drive is targeted at experienced operators and technical professionals who can support key plant operations across utility, inlet receiving, sulphur recovery, and Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) facilities.
The initiative reflects Qatar’s broader strategy to expand operational efficiency in its energy infrastructure while attracting international expertise, particularly from countries with strong technical labour capacity such as Nigeria.
The available roles are primarily field-based and involve hands-on responsibilities in monitoring equipment performance, ensuring safe operational limits, and maintaining continuous plant functionality.

Successful candidates will also be involved in performance tracking, safety compliance, emergency response procedures, and shift coordination within industrial facilities.
Their key duties will include, monitoring, logging operational parameters, supporting maintenance preparations and equipment recommissioning, ensuring strict adherence to safety and permit-to-work systems, participating in emergency response protocols, and assisting with routine sampling and operational reporting.
Applicants are expected to have at least, secondary school education (12 years of formal education), a vocational training certificate, and a minimum of five years’ experience in relevant plant operations such as LNG, utility systems, or sulphur recovery facilities.
Qatari authorities emphasized that the recruitment exercise is designed to attract experienced professionals capable of working in high-standard industrial environments.
Interested Nigerian applicants were encouraged to register their interest through the official recruitment channels provided by the hiring authorities.
Successful candidates will be contacted for further assessment and onboarding processes.
Officials described the opportunity as a chance for qualified professionals to join a “diverse community of experts” contributing to safe and efficient energy production in Qatar.
