In a statement issued on Thursday by his Chief Press Secretary, Sir Festus Ahon, Governor Oborevwori commended Nigerians for their unwavering dedication to democratic values despite the social and economic challenges confronting the nation.
The governor described June 12 as a historic milestone that reflects the resilience, courage and determination of Nigerians in their quest for democratic governance. Oborevwori stressed that democracy remains the most effective form of government because it guarantees citizens the right to participate in governance while promoting accountability, transparency and adherence to the rule of law.
He urged Nigerians to continue supporting democratic institutions at all levels and to embrace peace, tolerance and national unity as critical ingredients for sustainable national development.
