The Delta State College of Health Technology, Ovrode, has commenced admission into its National Diploma (ND), diploma and certificate programmes for the 2026/2027 academic session.

The institution, established by the Delta State government in 2025 to train middle-level healthcare professionals for primary, secondary and tertiary healthcare delivery, announced the admission exercise in a statement signed by its Registrar, Mr. Daniel Orakpor.
According to the statement, applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates seeking admission into a wide range of health-related programmes designed to meet the growing manpower needs of the healthcare sector.
The National Diploma programmes available include community health technology, medical imaging technology, paramedics technology, healthiInformation management, medical laboratory technology, dispensing opticianry, dental therapy, environmental health technology and public health technology.

The college also offers diploma programmes in community health extension worker, pharmacy technician, medical laboratory technician, dispensing opticianry and health information management.
In addition, certificate programmes are available in junior community health extension worker, physiotherapy, health care giver, health assistants and occupational therapy.
The institution stated that candidates seeking admission into the National Diploma programmes may apply with or without JAMB.
Prospective students are required to possess five credit passes in relevant subjects, including biology, physics, chemistry, mathematics and English Language, obtained in not more than two sittings in WASC, NECO or GCE examinations.
Similarly, applicants for the diploma programmes are expected to possess five O’Level credits in the relevant science subjects, while candidates applying for certificate programmes must have a minimum of three O’Level credits, including biology, mathematics and English Language.
The college disclosed that applications are to be submitted online with a non-refundable application fee of N15,500 through its admission portal.
As part of the admission process, an entrance examination has been scheduled for August 24, 2026, at the college premises.
The management noted that candidates are not required to come with phones or smartwatches to the examination venue.
